JoD Tour Title image

There are a total of ten doors covering the sixth season. They are located here:

Journey of Doors Map

A great way to see the doors is to traverse N.I. clockwise and vist each of the doors in numerical order. There is an exception though: you visit door #2 and then door #1.

There a reason to visit door #10 last, which I'll explain later on.

The Doors

Door Title #1

Door #1

Very friendly place. We stayed and had lunch. Great food.

The GPS can get things wrong, especially altitude. It said that we were 8m below sea level.

Door Title #2

Door #2 Door #2 Door #2 Door #2

When I took the photo of the pub, it wasn't open yet. He opened a little after 11:00 in order to get the place cleaned up. They officially didn't open until noon.

I also didn't get the stamping done until the day before we left. That meant that we had to drive that night from Belfast, but it really wasn't that long of a drive. It was raining though. I got the six passports for stamping at door #1. I don't remember where I got the blank passport.

Door Title #3

Door #3 Door #3 Door #3

2019:11:15 19:57:02 | 54 deg 12' 53.00" N | 5 deg 53' 10.55" W

I never noticed that I screwed up the image of the door. Never got an image of the establishment either. It was dark outside, but I think there was enough light.

Door Title #4

Door #4 Door #4 Door #4 Door #4 Door #4

The pub is very narrow and was very busy. One has to go behind the bar and anyone sitting on the seat has to move out of the way, which a guy did have to do.

Door Title #5

Door #5 Door #5 Door #5 Door #5

It was a pub only, so no food. Down the block was a takeout chipper, so we got food there and took it back to the car to eat.

Door Title #6

Door #6 Door #6 Door #6 Door #6 Door #6 Door #6 Door #6 Door #6 Door #6 Door #6 Door #6

Yes, that is water in the street. No, a production crew didn't come through and cover the street in water. It was really raining hard that day. I came back a couple of days later to reshoot the panorama. We stayed and had some food, which was good. What was kinda funny is that the tour group that was there when we were there the first day, was there again the second time. The same woman tour guide did both groups. It seems that this place gets a lot of tours and during the summer it is pretty much non-stop. Oh, and the woman sitting on the throne was part of the first tour group.

Door Title #7

Door #7 Door #7 Door #7 Door #7 Door #7 Door #7 Door #7

Yes, the image is of The Hedges and not Gracehill House. That is because the door is in this building. We ate lunch in the restaurant. We were the only customers there. It was cold in the door room, which was large (banquets).

Door Title #8

Door #8 Door #8 Door #8 Door #8

2019:11:18 19:16:31 (Camera GPS not turned on. Will have to get it from my GPS tracker.)

We stayed and had a drink (Bacardi & Coke for me) and had a chat.

Door Title #9

Nothing exciting to say about this location. We were going to get a drink, but decided to leave instead.

Door Title #10

You'll notice that the second image for door #10 has a separate stamp. I believe, though I didn't ask, that this extra stamp is given to those who get their passport stamped last and have the stamps for all of the other locations.

We stayed for lunch. The staff was very friendly. If you plan on visiting, be warned that the place is not open seven days a week. It is a coffee bar and not a pub.

The Passport Stamps

Here is the part of the passport that gets the stamps:

Stampe page

If stamp #6 looks a little wrong, you are right. They didn't get a new stamp ordered soon enough and the one they were using ran dry. So they had to resort to using a pen.

Greedy guy that I am, I had six passports stamped and one without stamps.
